Where does HireTale work?
HireTale is a Google Workspace add-on that runs in a sidebar inside your own Google Sheets. There's no separate app to open.
Do I need to move my data anywhere?
No. HireTale builds its structure in the spreadsheet you choose (new or existing), and your candidate data stays in your Google Sheets, owned by you.
Is there a free plan?
Yes! The Free plan tracks 100 most recent candidates, includes 30 resume parses per month, and has all features of the paid plans.
What's the difference among the plans?
Only the visible-candidates limit: Free ($0/mo) 100, Starter ($29/mo) 500, Pro ($79/mo) 2000. CV parses are identical (30 per month) across plans.
How does resume parsing work?
Go to HireTale right sidebar > Add > Parse resume > Upload a resume. HireTale extracts the candidate's details (12 file types supported with above 99% accuracy) into a form for you to confirm.
What happens when I run out of CV parses?
You can wait for monthly replenishment, or buy a top-up pack using link in the header of the right sidebar. 30 parses for $5, 100 for $15, or 300 for $40.
Can my team use HireTale together?
Yes. Share the spreadsheet as you would any Google Sheets (unlimited collaborators, no per-seat fee)!
Does HireTale send emails to candidates?
No. HireTale doesn't send any emails.
Does HireTale source, rank, score, select, or reject candidates?
No. HireTale organizes and tracks your hiring pipeline; and only you can take any action on candidates.
Is my data safe if I delete a column, row, or cell by accident?
Yes. You can recover that with Google Sheets version history.
Why did some older candidates disappear from the sidebar?
If you've added more candidates than your plan's visibility limit, the oldest will fall out of HireTale's view. They always remain visible in your Candidates sheet. Upgrade your plan to track more at once.
