Advanced settings and options

Use these features to get more out of ATS

To reveal advanced settings, go to the Settings sheet, right-click on Selections column, and choose Unhide columns.

Make the colors match your vocabulary

The color rules come from four customizable lists: Final positive, Final negative, Intermediate (active), and Intermediate (passive). Change values in those lists to match your recruitment language.

If a status isn't in any list, HireTale treats it as active (blue, shown in Pending), a safe default.

Customize pending threshold

By default, all Intermediate (active) status candidates who have not been updated since 3 days are shown in Pending tab. To change the number of days, go to "Pending" tab column, and change the value.

Change Google Calendar invite behaviour

By default, while adding an interview, the Create calendar event box is unticked. To keep it automatically ticked, go to Open Google calendar column, and tick the box.

Quick actions on candidates card

If you right-click on a candidate card in the sidebar, it will show you top one or two most appropriate options for that candidate.

Run your whole hiring operation in one spreadsheet

You can add your own sheets alongside HireTale to run your entire hiring operation in one place.

Common additions:

• Roles or Requisitions: open positions, target pay, recruiters, locations.

• Clients: for agencies tracking who they hire for.

• Interviewers: contact details and availability.

• Projects: hiring targets, tasks, and timelines.
