How to add candidates to HireTale

Add candidates to HireTale in three ways. Type them in manually, parse a resume, or import a CSV or Excel file for bulk upload.

Open the Add tab in the HireTale sidebar, and choose any one of below.

1. Enter manually

Click "Enter manually" for a guided form. HireTale pre-fills smart defaults (today's date, you as the recruiter, and your most-common role and source), so adding a candidate takes seconds. Only Name and Email are mandatory fields.

2. Upload a resume (resume parsing)

Choose the "Parse resume" option and pick a CV (most common 12 file types supported). HireTale parses it with above 99% accuracy, and fills the candidate form with the extracted details for you to confirm. Resume parsing uses parse credits. Every plan includes 30 free parses per month, and you can buy more. See "HireTale plans, pricing, and CV parse credits".

3. Import CSV or Excel

Click "Import CSV/Excel" to bulk-add candidates from a spreadsheet file, ideal when you're moving an existing list into HireTale.
